Pops are the preferred contractor to replace glass units for Rendall Ritner.
Pops insurance allows us to work at height up to 190m. In this particular instance there was a nickel sulphide inclusion that caused the defect. We ensured that the centre butterfly was removed and offered for inspection as well as providing a full report including photos.
Scope of works
- Set up lifting rig at roof level using Building maintenance unit.
- Safely remove remaining glass pane from defective shattered double glazed unit.
- Transport glass from level 50 to ground level using Vacuum lifter and winch.
- Attach replacement DGU
- Transport the glass from ground level to level 50
- Reinstall glazing to manufacturers specifications.
