We are the nominated Façade Contractor for high level glass replacements by the Facilities management company, our extended insurances allows us to work up to 190m which is a requirement for this building being one of the highest in Manchester.
We were tasked to replace a damaged Level 49 Double glazed unit on the prestigious Hilton hotel in a busy Manchester city centre environment.
Scope of works:
- Call out to make safe the shattered glass unit.
- Provide a qualified & Experienced Lifting team
- Provide experienced curtain wall installers with work at height, leading edge & safety harness training.
- Access the building via the House BMU (building maintenance unit/cradle)
- Remove structurally bonded damaged DGU
- Safely Lower glazed unit 180m to ground level.
- Attach new glazed unit to vacuum lifter and BMU lifting rig and return to level 49 for reinstallation.
- Bond and seal new DGU to unitised element frame
- Clean and tidy works following completion with Client sign off
